Is it because of adrenaline boost?

Every time I’m in competition or racing (usually at high speeds or when pushing it to the edge) with one on the streets or tracks (especially when I have some fear ) suddenly I get this sharp concentrated pulsing pain in my lower portion of the spinal chord (way at the bottom where it almost ends). It subsides, once I slow down or get more comfortable. Is it because of the endorphin/adrenaline release?
Do everyone experience this in such condition.
I also get this tingling sension all over my spine when this happens, apart from the pain.

How does Neurontin work on the nerves to stop pain?

I have a herniaed disk in my lower spine and was prescriped neurontin 300 mg to take only at night. A friend has neuropathy caused by diabiets and he was prescribed 300 mg neurontin to take 3 times a day. He was told by his care provider that the neurontin burned out the nerve endings to stop the pain. What we really want to know is, How does Neurontin actually work on the nerves? Does it destroy the nerve endings?

What are the symptoms of Lymphoma? Serious answers only please?

I had not been feeling well for several weeks when about 6 weeks ago I came down w/ a temp of 104. Nothing felt particularly bad.I went to the Dr & ran numerous blood test along with a CT scan of my Abd. The Ct showed enlarged lymph nodes through out my abd.
My Dr felt repeating the scan in a few weeks is good idea. However,since then I have gotten severe lower back pain…had an MRI on my lower spine and it showed two herniated disc. Had injections for those w/o any success in helping with the pain.
I am exhausted all of the time & have 3 small kids to care for and am barley making it some days. I can’t even begin to express how freakin’ tired I am.
I have started having these night sweats that are hard to describe as well I just wake up clammy & even drenched.My Dr mentioned Lymphoma as a possible DX & I scared. yet I feel like he is dragging his feet a bit in figuring this out. So I wanted to hear experiences from others so that I can either push my dr or be patient & wait.TIA

I have had what i think is a pinched nerve between my shoulder blade and spine for about a year.(see details)

Somedays it’s really bad, like the day after having done some push-ups. For the most part its that area to the inside of my left shoulder blade. So, if I am looking looking straight, i can touch my right ear to my right shoulder, but can barely tilt my head in the same way on the left side….How might I look for treatment. I can’t afford to be sent from one specialist to another. So I turned to yahoo!! ughhhh.

Chest and back pain for two weeks now. What is it?

I have a hiatal hernia that pops out from time to time. Well two weeks ago it popped out and then went back like it has a million times. Difference this time was I have had chest and back pain on the left side since then. It radiates from my sternum(sp?) to my spine under my arm pit. It es specially hurts when I pull my shoulders back(proper posture) or pull my shoulders down. It has been the same for two weeks, the pain never changes, not even with ibuprofen. Any ideas???

Severe pain.worse than just a stiff neck?

Somerimes when I sleep unusally long I’ll wake up with sharp pain on the right side of my neck, radiating along the top and down along the left side of my right shoulder and under the shoulder blade (between the spine and shoulder blade). When I get it, it stays for a long time (one time for 5 weeks). It’s painful enough to bring tears to the eyes sometimes (and I don’t cry much). Painful whether moving or stationary.

When to the Doctors Monday. He gave me a shot in my spine.
I have Sciatica caused by my herniated disc, he told me.
He said I could take Motrin, Advil etc today…I took 2 Motrin, really did not help the pain about 8 hours ago. Can I take Advil now?

Is this “normal” to experience when on Lyrica?

Well, I’m 15 yrs old, and I think I’m depressed, but I’m not sure, though. I’m not sure if I’m stressed or what. I have chronic back pain for the past 2 years, and I had to have metal rods put into my spine a year ago, except it caused me more pain. I’m on lyrica(pain med), but the thing is, is that I’m not sure if I’m depressed from the pain I’m in, or if it’s the side effects from the medication. Like, I’m always tired, I don’t sleep at night, have increased appetite, starting to fail classes, even though I had straight a’s last year, and sometimes when little things go wrong, I think about *******. All of those problems could be explained by my medication, but these issues are kinda new because it’s only been a few months, and I’ve been on the med for a year and a half. Do you think these issues are from my medication?Or am I just making excuses?

No Commentsok my lower back way at the bottom at the spine ending. hurts really bad. it hurts to sit down, hurts to walk, and it just plain hurts.
and sometimes i get this intense pain in my shoulders.
it just hurts.
what could this be, and what is it?
