why do i have a constant pain in my left shoulder and a pain in my right rib?

constant acheing, cannot lay on it and apply pressure, it feels like having a bad cold in my ribs and shoulder, i did have a heart attack 12 months ago and i am also a diabetic and i was wondering if this has anything to do with it.

Could this be gas, a blood clot, or something far worse, and will nitroglycerin effect blood clots?

I’ve been diagnosed with hypertension. The years and years of not taking care of myself has finally caught up with me. Today my doctor prescribed to me to take 0.4mg of nitroglycerin tablets that are taken under the tongue. He prescribed them to be because I’ve recently started having chest pains this past week. The pains have been in the upper left portion of my chest traveling up and down my left shoulder and arm. The pain in my arm feels somewhat like it’s fallen asleep, bad blood circulation or something. . After I got home from my doctor’s visit today my left arm felt completely normal, no pains at all. BUT, the pain that was in the upper left portion of my chest and up and down my left arm has now on the upper right side of my chest and and going up and down the right side of my arm. It pretty much, completely reversed itself. Which is leaving me to believe that it might be a traveling blood clot that’s just not going away. My mother also tells me that it’s just gas being held up inside. But I personally thing that it could be a blood clot. Does anyone know what could this be? And if it does happen to be a blood clot, is it save to take nitroglycerin tablets? I’ve had a theory that since nitroglycerin opens the blood vessels and arteries for a short amount of time, that it would free the blood clot from where ever it may be stock at the time, travel through my blood stream and get into my lungs. The thought scares me a lot. And I’d like to know any information that I can about this.

I have pain in shoulder when doing lateral raises. What kind of injury do i have?

I can do frontal raises and all other kind of exercises fine without pain. However, when I do lateral raises my left shoulder is in momentary pain when i’m in the process of lifting a 10 lb dumbell. I notice I drastrically can’t do as much with my left shoulder as I can my right. In general my stronger side of my body is my left side. What could I possibly have wrong with my shoulder? Is it serious?

burning shoulder pain in left arm for 3 days so far?

I was practicing rifle at my highschool (for colorguard) and about an hour after, my shoulder started to really hurt. it felt like it was burning. it has got to the point where it goes up the side of my neck and to about my elbow. it has been three days and it hasn’t gotten any better. ive iced it, put some heat, and took advil, nothing has helped yet. any ideas?

am a 58 year old female. For the past 4 years have gone to 9
doctors for left chest pan,left arm pan, left shoulder and left lower back pain.They have given me 800mg MOTRN, FLEXIL,
codene,and vicodn. The pain s still here. At night it is worse,stabbing pain,knife lke pain. The doctor’s all say it is
bursitis…….. what s wrong wth me? Why can’t I heal?

back pain and neck pain?

i had a very severe neck pain accompanied with shoulder and back pain 2 weeks ago, went to doc and she gave me some medicene and told me its mascular, but it doesnt seem to go, i can stand and walk but cant sit for long, i get back pain when i sit though the neck pain is quite better, sometimes the pain disappears but then it comes bak, can some body plz help

Shoulder and collar bone pain?

I have been having pain in my shoulder and collar bone for about a week now. It goes from the tip of my shoulder to the end of my collar bone at my neck. occasionally, it even works its way up my neck. Any suggestions on why??

No Commentsok my lower back way at the bottom at the spine ending. hurts really bad. it hurts to sit down, hurts to walk, and it just plain hurts.
and sometimes i get this intense pain in my shoulders.
it just hurts.

When I was going to bed last night I was laying on my left side. I had a tightness in my center to center left chest area deep within my body. There was one sharp shooting incident of pain to the left side from my heart area and then no more. The area remained tight feeling, but not painful. I did also notice a numbness or strange feeling in my left upper arm and shoulder. The pain has not recurred, although my center chest area has felt somewhat bruised today and my upper left arm is still feeling strange. Is this something I should seek medical attention for? I have recently been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea where I stopped breathing 100+ times per night for up to 32 seconds, but I was not sleeping when this occurred. When I’m awake I have great oxygen saturation.
