Why do people have chest pains when they are quitting smoking?

I have managed to go from about a pack in a half a day to about seven cigarettes. I lost the desire to smoke almost overnight. It has been about a week smoking the seven and I am havng the strangest chest pains. I am not doing any coughing so I can not attribute the pain to this. What could it be?
I am not going to a doctor just to whine about chest pains. I will wait until I have a real reason to go and this is not one of them.

Hi im 18 and i have been having these chest pains on my left side and i have been checked for heart problems?

my chest pains come out of the blue and start on my left breastbone and works its way to my armpit, about 15 minutes after i get really nauseated, has anyone been or has experienced something like this

chest pain when breathing in?

im a 14 year old boy in great shape
but since about a year ago i get these terrible chest pains where i cant take deep breaths and it kills when i try to breath deeply and it feels like my heart will explode
the pain is on the left side of my chest were my heart is

it will usually last for a few minutes and it usually goes away if i sit down and drink a glass of water but it hurts so much and im worried
im going to a doctor but i want some answers here
and i know im going to a doctor and chest pain isnt anything to fool with so don’t say those things

I have had chest pains for over a year. I had CAT scans MRI’s. What could be the cause of the pain?

Chest pain when running? What is normal?

I am by no means a runner but have tried many times to run(since I was 15, now I’m 26). Every time I run I feel like my heart is physically bouncing around in my chest and get chest pains in the center to right side of my chest. It starts within minutes of running and gets worse as I continue. Should I just push through it? I do cough when I’m done running so I tried an inhalor a few times but it made it either worse(increases my heart rate too) or did nothing. I’ve had cardiac testing done years ago(I have vasovagal syncope) but nothing abnormal was found. I never had a stress test done, do you think I should? I already walk an hour a day while pushing a stroller and remain active with my toddler all day but I just can’t seem to run. I used to run everyday but it just got worse each day I tried until I was forced to give up. Once I stop running, the pain goes away within a few minutes.

I got a in a really heated argument and was shouting pretty loud… and all that and while shouting got a slight pain on the right hand side of my chest… does that indicate a heart attack or something like taht… im only 22

I’m having extremely painful chest pains?

Ok so I am experiencing really bad chest pains, mainly on my left side. My chest is feeling like someone is stabbing it and it tightens up for a couple of seconds and then releases. The pain is constant but it tightens up about every five minutes. I’m also having a little trouble breathing. I know I don’t have asthma(I have already been tested) and I haven’t excercised heavily in about two weeks. I’m only 12. WHAT COULD THIS BE? Plz help!!!

Stabbing chest pain from time to time.Is this serious?

Ok so every once in awhile, I will get stabbing pains near my heart. A few months ago, I went for an EKG and they told me I had a 1st degree AV (Atrio-Ventricular) Block. Could this be causing my chest pains and should I talk to my cardiologist about it?

I occasionally suffer chest pains in the left side of my chest, they are extremely painful and stop me from doing anything, including breathing, i can breathe it just hurts too much.
No Commentsthey only come every now and then, like three or four times a month but the pain is sharp and stabbing.
does this warrant a doctors appointment do you think?
any help much appreciated
