after rectal surgery and using stool softners everyday, in the past 2 weeks I have had sever abdominal pain?

In October 08 I had rectal surgery and was given stool softners, in fear of having a regular bowel movement I have continued using them, however in the past 2 week I have been experiencing sever abdominal pain, could using the stool softners be the reason?

Do I have to reveal that I have Crohn’s and digenerative bone disease during a job interview?

I am going for a job interview this week. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and digenerative bone disease about 8 months ago. Before my diagnosis, I miss many, many days of work due to abdominal pain, joint pain, stiffness and the inability to be too far away from my bathroom. This went on for 4 years before I was finally diagnosed. Since I have been diagnosed and gotten the proper medication, I have both undercontrol. The possibility of a flair up at one time or another is relatively certain. Should I disclose this information in the interview or wait til I have the job and only disclose if a flair up occurs and I am forced to take time off?

Abdominal pain and ovaries?

I went to the gynecologist last Tuesday, I am 16 and it was my first time. I am not sexually active, but the doctor did an exam on me anyway (not a pap smear) just to make sure everything is healthy. She found some abnormal growth on my left ovary, and I am getting an ultrasound tommorow to determine what it is. The thing is, when she did the exam on me the first time I almost passed out and threw up afterward. I found it very uncomfortable and I am nervous about tommorow’s exam. Also, I have been having sharp abdominal pains on my left side for the last week after my visit, when I hadn’t had them before. Could this be serious? Should I tell my doctor? Would it be possible to put me under during the ultrasound? How does an ultrasound usually go?

feels like gas pain that stretches from the right side of my stomach all the way into my lower back, is it something other than gas although it feels like gas pressure?

I’m having right side abdominal pain at night - what could it be?

4 weeks ago I began to experience right side abdomonial pain. A urinalysis revealed blood & bacteria & I was diagnosed with a kidney infection. I took Levaquin for 10 days. Symptoms improved but did not completely go away. After 2 weeks another urinalysis indicated blood but no infection; an x-ray showed kidney stones. I was referred to a urologist & had an ivp. After reviewing the x-ray & ivp results, the urologist advised that I had a kidney stone that was too big to pass & recommended lithotripsy…but this kidney stone is on the LEFT side…not the source of my pain! The pain that have been feeling has progressed & is occurring every night. I am virtually painfree during the day…but after about 4-5 hours of sleep…the pain awakens me from a sound sleep. After resting in a reclining position for 1-2 hours the pain subsides. I have made no correlation to eating habits & my OB/GYN ruled out anything in the pelvis…not surprising as the pain is up higher under the ribcage.

really bad abdominal pain?

i was at the dentist for about an hour and a half…and i had to *** really bad but i held it in until i couldn’t take it any longer… it felt like a relief… but then when i got home….i got out of my car and i had this really bad abdominal pain…. i tried to walk but i couldn’t stand up straight…now when i walk i have to crouch over…it hurts soo bad…

So for the last forever it seems like ive had this horrible sharp pain in the lower left side of my abs. Well I guess it might even be the pelvic region, I dunno. anyways it used to always be on the left side until not that long ago and now the pain jumps around and it just comes and goes and it feels like a stabbing pain. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong with me? And like right now the pain just come n left in like 3 seconds on the lower right hand side!! help me!

Abdominal pain for 3 months, at a peak, now at my right side?

1 Comment3 months ago, I had a mild cramp in my right side that went away after a couple hours and didn’t come back.
3 weeks later I started getting mild lower middle abdominal pain, and tenderness about an inch above my belly button. This came off and on for a couple weeks. Mild.
Since then, I keep getting lower middle abdominal pain off and on. It’s like the pain I would get on my period. Once it went away for 3 weeks, but it did come back.
Now, today, it’s switched. Now it’s on my right side where my appendix would be, the pain is medium, I will be able to sleep through it. But what does this mean?
14, female, 5′8 and 123 lbs. started my period almost 2 yrs ago

I’ve been getting nauseated, but never throw up.

why do i have severe left abdominal and left back pain and hurts when breathign?

I have no clue how I have this. i woke up today and now i have this and ********* more than i was. maybe because of nerves, but i cant even move hardly. it hurts my temp is 99.7. i dont feel sick, just lot of pain and fatigue.
