Still having pain and discomfort in ankle years after spraining it?

I have sprained my left ankle about a dozen times in all since I was about 9 years old (I’m 28) - 8 of the sprains happened in the space of five years, due to shoddy pavements in the city I used to live. I cannot sue the local authority as I can’t remember dates and locations to some of my sprains. The last sprain I had was about 13 months ago.

I work in a supermarket which involves me being on my feet all day long. As part of my job I lift, carry and push heavy loads.

Within a few hours of work, my left foot is in agony. I haven’t mentioned about my ankle problem to any management yet.

When I am at home, I rest it as much as possible. I have to take pain killers such as ibuprofen to keep the pain at bay. I cannot be taking painkillers like this forever. My left ankle is always is bigger than my right.

Due to the economic climate,, it’s difficult for me to get another job as I was unemployed for 4 months before this job.

I have tried ankle braces. All they do is to cut into the skin where they end, even with me buying a size larger than required.

Is there anything I can do? What do you think my problem is?

What would cause nerve pain in entire body?

I get really bad sciatic nerve pain in my legs, but recently it has moved to my arms and neck. Any idea as to what causes this? And how to get it to stop? Nothing helps. Heat, cold, I even have prescription pain meds that don’t work. Help please!

I’m 12 weeks pregnant and I have a slight pain on my left side?

The pain is only when I bend or move a certain way.Its in the stomach area but on the left side. I have a doctors appt on Thursday. Just wanted some thoughts on what this could be.

chinese acupuncture?

hello, i have recently been feeling like my mother is trying to “improve” me and she said she wants to take me to this place which does Chinese acupuncture. I am wondering what they do to people. Is it just sticking needles in their backs? I heard something about herbs too. Could someone please tell me what they do to people? Thank you so much.

leg pain from exercising, cant sleep?

i was biking a lot tonight.. atleast 1hour trip.
my legs hurt (like growth pain?) its forcing me to keep moving my legs, i haven’t slept for a second all night.. its 7:25 now, i went to bed around 1am.
my head is all overtired and geared up now too.. any suggestion what can relieve my legs and head?

What are all of the east coast and west coast hip hop dances?

My friends and i went to a party for east and west coasters. while at the dance we showed the east coasters how to jerk and do the reject and they showed us how to swag surf. we have a talent show coming up and we would love to do a mix of east and west coast dances. other than the stanky leg, swag surg, jerk, and the reject what other dances can we include in our mix?

Severe abdominal pain during cardio?

Please help! I need as much advice from as many people as I can get!!

Any advice would be extremely appreciated. I’ve just gotten to the point where I am fed up with this and just want to exercise without being in pain every single time. Okay so… I used to be very active in sports, ever since I was little and I’ve always been in good shape. About 2 and a half years ago, I began getting a bothersome pain in my lower abdomen either on the right or left side (it fluctuated every time, but never on the same side at the same time) whenever I ran with my team. It got increasingly worse and I would have to stop running and just walk the rest of the way.. it was very frustrating. The only way I could stop the pain a bit was to hold my side that was in pain very tightly (that no longer works). Well, ever since then i’ve just basically kept putting off this problem. I am no longer involved in a sport (I went about a year with not near as much exercise as I used to get), I am still thin, but I would like to be in better shape like I used to be. I am exercising regularly at a gym.. but the problem is, the pain still comes back… EVERY SINGLE TIME. I can barely go a mile without being in severe pain, and the pain has just recently began building up behind my ribcage and sometimes a little below. What is going on? I asked a doctor once but he was not very helpful and didn’t know why this was happening. It just hurts so bad, and the frustrating thing is that I know I can run and be way more in shape if this wasn’t holding me back :( It used to be just running that made this pain start, but now it’s even when I simply walk at a fast pace! Any ideas? I’ve researched like crazy and I still can’t figure this out.

By the way, this pain only happens during cardio exercises (running/jogging/fast walking), I only remember a couple times it hurt when I wasn’t exercising.

Muscle fatigue and soreness?

I have been playing in a basketball tournament all weekend. I weight lifted on wednesday and did a pretty intense leg routine that I am still sore from, and I’m obviously fatigued from the tournament this weekend. I have the night to rest then I leave for another tournament tomorrow. What is the best way to rest my muscles and be prepared for tomorrows tournament?

having muscle tremors in the abdomen region, upper legs and buttocks. What could this be caused by?

When im in bed i feel like there is a flickering of small muscles in my lower abdomen. Also odd muscle spasms in small muscles in my ****. I am also having slight abdominal pain in my lower right abdomen region.
